Richard works as Executive Director of DaDaFest and joined the organisation in October 2016 from Royal Liverpool Philharmonic where he worked as Executive Director of LARC (Liverpool Arts Regeneration Consortium).
Richard has a background in social and economic regeneration – in the past he has worked for the City Council and for Government Office North West, where he was involved in managing the highly successful Merseyside Objective 1 programme. He has lived in Liverpool for the last 30 years since first arriving to undertake post-graduate research at the University, and still insists the fact that this research included spending a year undertaking fieldwork in the Caribbean had nothing to do with his decision to move here.
A dedicated supporter of all forms of live music, Richard has been spotted at events as diverse as Cambridge Folk Festival, WOMAD, Download and the Proms.
